Ambrose, Augustine, Hierome, with the rest of the Fathers, and Schoolmen generally agree. And what needs other figure flinging, to finde out Novelties, where the natiue sense brings with it no absurdity? I must craue pardon therefore in this cause, if I forsake the Sonnes, to follow the Fathers, and preferre that, I take to be our Apostles interpretation, before all latter Comments whatsoeuer. or soul in the First place,, or Flesh, is opposed.
