Let then this Behold serve as a Bell, to awake our sluggish drowsinesse, that we may open our eyes to see and consider Divine operations. Indeed this is that whereby we shall manifest our selves to be both grateful and prudent. Beholding puts upon thankfulnesse, and thankfulnesse puts upon beholding; the grateful soul being so enamoured, especially with choice mercies, that it knoweth not how to look off; and withall, this is no small piece of prudence, since it engageth God to doe grea•er things; |
