On the contrary, from the beginning of Christianity he will not be able to produce one example, either of States or Princes, except profess'd Hereticks, (such as the Emperors Constantius, Valens, Zeno, &c.) that ever made any Laws to repeal any Doctrines declared or Disciplines established in the Church.
